Help AceBox
get to Genesis
Brody “AceBox” Harris has been grinding competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee for almost five years. Now he needs your help getting to the biggest stage in Melee.
$679 to go. Every dollar goes to flights, the hotel, and the venue pass.
The biggest stage in Melee
Genesis is a Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament held in San Jose, California, played on the Nintendo GameCube. It kicks off the competitive season — the place players go to pull off upsets, show what they’ve been working on, and prove they belong.
Genesis has been compared to both the Super Bowl and the World Cup of Melee.
It’s one of the longest-running Melee tournaments in the world — and the hype hasn’t died down since the very first one.
Three full days of competition, February 12–14, 2027, in San Jose, California.
I’m Brody.
I’m AceBox.
I’ve been playing competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee for almost five years. This isn’t a phase — it’s the thing I grind for, the thing I study, the thing I show up for week after week.
Genesis is where I test all of that. I’ve been twice. I want to head back for a third time.
“This time I believe I can place in double digits.”

At Genesis
It’s not just a tournament
My whole friend group is flying out to Genesis this year. I’ve known some of these friends for four years — and this will be the first time we meet in person.
Last year eight of us went. This year eleven of us are going, including me. I don’t want to be the one watching from home.
$1,000 gets me there
The goal is $1,000, and I’m at $321 so far. Every dollar goes toward flights, the hotel, and the venue pass — nothing else.
$679 to go.
The clock is real: I’d like to hit the goal by mid-December 2026 or early January 2027, so I can book flights and the hotel before prices go up drastically.
Where every dollar goes
- Flights
- Hotel
- Venue pass
That’s it. No extras, no fluff — just what it takes to get there and compete.
Help me run it back
Any amount helps — seriously. $321 down, $679 to go. Send it on Cash App or Venmo, and you’re part of getting me to San Jose.
